In this workshop, actors will receive an in-depth introduction to The Lucid Body Technique. The Lucid Body is a ‘Physical Acting’ technique that works with the chakra energy centers as a way of exploring one's psycho-physical expression. Opening this awareness is deeply transformational for an actor’s personal self-awareness. It gives actors a process for moving beyond habitual limitations of expression in their acting and unlocking greater emotional range and availability. In time, the technique nurtures an organic sense of trust in one’s impulses. The goal of this 3-day workshop is for actors to have a direct experience of the value of this technique for their acting. The Lucid Body, while personally transformational, is also quite practical and applicable to ones acting. Through the exercises, actors will acquire tools for making bold and authentic choices in their monologue and scene work. Actors are encouraged to bring a monologue to the workshop to explore applying the techniques on the final day. This workshop is limited to 10 actors. Actors of all levels of experience are encouraged to attend.
