Lucid Body: Character (Advanced) (Online)
In this Advanced course, actors focus on the ‘Character Process’ of the Lucid Body technique and explore, in detail, how to apply it to a role from a Play or a Film. Based on the work of the eminent psychologist, Carl Jung, the actors learn to analyze their character’s Persona (Social Mask), Shadow (Repressed Self), and Child-Need (Wounded Self). The actors will first open their awareness to observing how these various sides of human beings interrelate in their own lives. Then, once the actors observe and experience the organic nature of these elements of character, they learn the process for applying it to their roles. Far from a traditional character class, this is a holistic approach to uncovering the ‘Core Conflicts’ within the lives of your characters and exploring how these are ‘activated’ within the various scenes in the story. This class is limited to 10 actors.
