The Lucid Body is a physical approach to acting where the body becomes a great window into understanding the psychological and emotional patterns of our lives as well as the lives of our characters. Using the chakra energy centers as the primary means of observation, participants will first develop an in-depth awareness of their psycho-physical habits. Then, through a wide range of exercises, they will develop the skills to free themselves from previous patterns of behavior.
This process is liberating for actors who desire to shift their energy to suit the life and circumstances of the characters they are playing. It can also be healing and transformative for those seeking to deepen their understanding and experience of life. Further more it is an accessible method that appeals to all artists- actors, dancers, musicians, painters as well as those in the healing arts.
Led by LA Acting Coach- and senior Lucid Body teacher- Kennedy Brown, participants will develop a process for moving beyond habitual limitations of expression in their acting, as well as in their life. Actors will learn a process for un-locking emotional availability and develop greater trust in their impulses.
Additionally, participants will have an opportunity to explore some of the core exercises of the Lucid Body Technique, including: ‘The Blend’, which develops deep full-bodied listening and response, and ‘Persona/Shadow/Child-Need’, a comprehensive process for analyzing character based on the work of the psychologist Carl Jung. The goal of this intensive workshop is for participants to have a direct experience of the value of this technique for their acting.
*This workshop is open to non-actors as well as actors. It is a challenging workshop for people at all levels of experience.

There is a $10 processing fee added to each additional payment. All Refunds are subject to a 2-3% processing fee.
